Richard was born June 13, 1944 to Ralph and Valeria Rasnake (Reed) in Indianapolis, IN.
Richard was a graduate of Westfield Washington High School in Westfield IN. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Elevator Constructors local 34 for 36 years and a member of the American Legion Post 118 in Danville IN for many years. He was a dedicated employee of Schindler’s Elevator and Escalators for 30+ years.
Richard was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Rasnake; his parents; a daughter Cheryl Kay Rasnake; and two brothers Ralph Rasnake Jr and Kenny Rasnake.
Richard is survived by his son David Rasnake and two grandchildren.
A Private family service will be held on Friday October the 11th.
