Born October 17, 1941 in Putnam County, he was the son of Halbert and Grace (Stewart) Snider Sr.
Richard was a veteran, having served in the United States Army. He had worked as a laborer in the automotive industry, RCA, and Lonestar industries.
Richard is survived by his sons, David (Melissa) Snider and Danny Snider; brothers, Bernard (Dorothy) Snider, Jim (Gwen) Snider, Bill (Ann) Snider, Halbert (Linda) Snider Jr., and Rex (Linda) Snider; a sister, Betty Jo Harney; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Richard Snider and infant stillborn, Matthew Snider; brothers Bobby, Wayne, and Mickey Snider; and a sister, Irene Mosteller.
Graveside services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at the Brick Chapel Cemetery with military honors.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, May 12th at the Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home.
