

Born May 18, 1937 in Parke County, Indiana, he was the son of Elbert and Frances (Thornton) Irwin. He married Juanita Birkemeier on January 26, 1958 and she preceded him in death on January 5, 2012.
Mr. Irwin was a cattle farmer and was also a school bus driver for South Putnam Schools for over 45 years. He was a member of Longbranch Church of Christ.
Survivors include his children, Deanna S. (Gary) Neese of Gosport, Tammy Irwin of Greencastle, and David (Terri) Irwin of Spencer; grandchildren, Renee (Kelvin) Lovelace, Seth Irwin, Eric Joslin, Wendi (Andrew) O’Hair, Bruce J. McKenzie, Daniele (Stephen Wise) Neese, Evan (Samantha) Neese, and Jake Overstreet; great-grandchildren, Kannon, Zane, Kingston, Brayten, Ella and Haislee; and siblings, Donald (Wilma) Irwin, Elinor Buis, Marjorie Wallace, Dona Joan (L. Dale) Pierce, and Carolyn (Don) Flint.
In addition to his parents, and loving wife, Juanita he was preceded in death by his daughter, Natalie, and siblings, Francis Gale Irwin and Letha Cofer.
Friends and family will gather from 4 pm until 8 pm, Thursday, June 2 in Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, where Memorial Services will be held at 11 am, Friday, June 3, with Scott Smith officiating.
