She was born on October 12, 1957 in Greencastle to Robert H. Rooker and Shirley A. Lukenbill Rooker.
George was preceded in death by her mother.
She was a 1975 graduate of North Putnam High School. George was employed by the North Putnam School Corporation for 37 years as Transportation Secretary.
Surviving are her daughter, DeLisa A. Schelsky and husband Rich of Rockville; her father, Bob Rooker of Bainbridge; siblings, Rusa Rooker of North Salem, Robin Lambermont and husband Jim of Troy, Missouri, Richard Rooker of Bainbridge and Recco Rooker and wife DeeAnn of Greencastle; several nieces and nephews; and most importantly, George was “GaGa” to Treigh, Birkley, and Kelby.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 from 4-8 P.M. at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Services and interment will be private.
