Born January 6, 1942 in Greencastle, he was the son of Samuel and Mary (O’Neal) Lancaster. He was a United States Navy Veteran and a member of the American Legion.
Roy retired from IBM in 1995, where he had worked as an analyst.
He loved to be outdoors, hunting, fishing, or trapping.
Roy is survived by his sons, Steve (wife, Rhonda) Lancaster and Mike Lancaster and companion, Gwen Costin; brothers, Samuel Henry (wife, Pat) Lancaster and Earl (wife, Sharon) Lancaster; grandsons, Cameron (wife, Leja) Lancaster and Nathan (wife, Emma) Lancaster; great grandchildren, Lucy Lancaster and Wesson Lancaster.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother & sister-in-law, Darrell & Susie Lancaster.
Private funeral services will be held with military graveside honors. Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
