Sharon Joan Jones

Born August 10, 1936, in Greencastle, the daughter of Joe Dawson and Gladys Eileen (Wells) Dunivan and was a graduate of Stilesville High School “Class of 1954”.

Sharon was a homemaker and a member of the Fillmore Christian Church. She loved to paint, play the organ and sing, and most of all she loved children, and being with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Alan F. Jones; her children, Larry (Kathy) Jones, Garry (Cora) Jones, and Kathy (Tony) Sparks; sisters, Judy Hayes, Linda Maynard, Marilyn Hayden, Janet Bryson, and Marsha Evans; nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Larry Ronald and Joe David Dunivan.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, March 27, 2017 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home with interment to follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until time of service on Monday at the funeral home.
