Shirley Duane Curtis

Shirley “Pete” Curtis was born December 7, 1930, the son of Estel Curtis and Emma (McCammack) Curtis. Pete graduated from Eminence High School, and was honored as being the Eminence Eels #1 Fan, and was also a fan of IU Basketball, and followed their seasons in the newspaper.

Pete was a kind and caring person, and volunteered with mail and newspaper distribution, and assisted the cafeteria staff in his later years at the Waters of Greencastle, where he was also a resident.

Pete was preceded in death by his mother and father. He leaves behind his sister, Carole Trusner-Tobias, his nephews Eric Trusner and Curt Trusner (Aneta). Pete enjoyed spending time with his cousins, Dawn Curtis- and Julie Curtis-Harr. Pete also leaves behind many friends at the Waters of Greencastle.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, July 26, 2024 at the Bittles & Hurt Funeral Home in Greencastle, IN. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 12 noon until time of service.

Memorials may be made to the Coatesville Missionary Baptist Church.
