Born September 4, 1944 in Greencastle, she was the daughter of Charles Harvey and Dorothy (Rader) Harvey Sillery and attended Greencastle High School.
Shirley was a homemaker.
She is survived by her children, Kathy (Richard) Ford, Kelley (Daniel) McGinn, and Kandi O’Neill (Steve Branch); sisters, Rosie Gott, Jackie Beck, Pam Whitlow, and Tina Sillery; a brother, Jerry Sillery; eight granddaughters and two grandsons; seven great grandsons and four great granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, George Whitaker and George Stratton; her parents; a daughter, Karen Shrewsbury; and a son, Jeffrey Wayne Whitaker.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at the Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, December 9th at the funeral home.
