Born December 27, 1955 in Houston, Texas, he was the son of Don Ivy and Barbara (Martin) Mateyack. He was a very hard working man.
He married Brenda K. (Duncan) Ivy and she survives. He is also survived by his daughters, Mary Pearl Ivy and Tasheena Spring Duncan; grandson, Preston Ezra Duncan; his father, Don Ivy and wife, Janie; his mother, Barbara Mateyack; a sister, Sherry Ann Cooksey and husband, Lamar; and many loved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Evon Ivy and a brother, Thomas Edward Ivy.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 pm on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Davies officiating.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm until time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
