OBITUARY
Stella Ethel Watt
September 1, 1923 – January 22, 2021
Stella Ethel Adamson Watt, 97, of Greencastle, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2021.
Born September 1, 1923 in Putnam County, she was the daughter of Howard Randall and Bertha (Carmichael) Adamson. She was a graduate of Greencastle High School “Class of 1941” and attended Indiana State Teachers College in Terre Haute.
She served in the United States Navy Waves during World War II, honorably discharged June 6, 1946. She married Charles Byron Watt on August 22, 1947 in Indianapolis.
Stella worked at RCA in Indianapolis, P.R. Mallory in Greencastle, and engaged on the family farm. She was a member of the VFW and American Legion, Greencastle. She enjoyed playing cards, working jigsaw puzzles, and all family reunions.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Sylvia Underwood; sister, Ellen Thomas; and two brothers, Raymond Adamson and George Adamson.
Stella is survived by her grandchildren, Laurie (Dennis) Frizzi of New Cumberlin, PA and Michael Underwood of Greencastle, IN.; great grandchildren, Tyler Blessing, Carson Blessing, and Kaelynn Underwood; special “nieces”, nephews, and extended family.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at the Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home. Interment will follow with military honors at the Calcutta Cemetery in Carbon, IN.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until time of service on Tuesday.

I remember Auntie as a great lady with lots of spunk and fun in her heart. As a friend of the family, I was honored to call her Auntie along with the Adamson girls. She was so energetic and always interested in what the family was doing!
