Several years back Steve came out to Norco California and stayed with us to help with a septic installation. I really got to know him better and saw what a gentle beautiful soul he was. I had a little 2 pound Applehead chihuahua who was very disabled with hydrocephalus on the brain. Steve fell in love with her and loved on her and kept her in the front of his overalls throughout his stay. All the many visits we had out to GreenCastle he was always working hard but would stop what ever he was doing for a hug. He was always excited to show me his beautiful dogs.
He put on great barbecues and fish frys at the Baker farm with the whole family. Always willing and able to lend a helping hand.
Steve Baker.. you will be missed by so many .. your untimely death will be felt across Indiana and here in Canyon Lake California.
Rest In Peace Steve. xoxo

I met Steve 24 years ago, he had a sense of humor, but had a lot of knowledge of all things having to do with excavating, and equipment. Always enjoyed speaking with him, and sometime back, he told me he was sick. He fought a good fight, and may he Rest In Peace. He will be missed.
Prayers for his family and friends.

He was a good friend through high school. We had a lot of great times together at each others houses and our trips to the 500.
