Tammy Lynn Cooper

Born July 9, 1959, in Greencastle, she was the daughter of Gerald and Della Mae (Frazier) Hood.

Tammy had retired as the office manager from IU Health Physicians. She had previously worked at Terre Haute Regional and Putnam County Hospitals as a surgical technician. She had also worked in Dr. Black’s office in Greencastle.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Gerry Gene Hood, Sherry McClain, and Gary & Larry Hood.

Tammy is survived by her husband Michael W. “Mike” Cooper; children Nicholas W. “Nick” (Athena) Cooper and Sabrina (Terry) Grice; siblings Geraldine Sweet, Terry Hood, Darlene Johnson, Jerry Hood, Robin Hood, Bobby Jo Hood, and Tim Hood; grandchildren Makenzie (Nick) Sabin, Jacob McGuire, Brynnly Gibson, Michael (Brittany) Cooper, Jillan Cooper, Garret Cooper, and Madalyn Grice.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at the Clinton Falls Cemetery with interment to follow. Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
