Wanda J. Patterson

Born July 14, 1929 in Putnam County, she was the daughter of Alton and Elizabeth (Walton) Hurst and was a graduate of Belle Union High School “class of 1947”. She married Jack E. Patterson on July 14, 1951 and he survives.

Wanda retired in 1995 from Old National Bank, where she had worked as a bank teller. She had previously worked for First Citizen and Central National Banks. She was a member of New Providence Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Chris Patterson of Cloverdale; two daughters, Jackie (Sam) Bond of Springville and Janet Patterson of Greencastle; two brothers, Wendall (Norma) Hurst of Greencastle and Wilfred (Nina) Hurst of Danville; and two grandsons, Chris (Gergana) Bond of Arlington, VA and Jared Bond of Battle Ground.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at the Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home with cremation to follow.

Friends may call at the funeral on Saturday, October 13th from 12:00 noon until time of service.
