I am so sorry for your loss. I was an OL paramedic from 1978-1981. Wanda was a very special lady who held OL together during some very challenging times. She was a hard worker and a kind spirit. I used to tease her mercilessly, which she tolerated with grace. I am honored to have known her. She is frequently in my thoughts and prayers.

I will miss Wanda but I know she is where she wanted to be, and she did it her way. Because of Wanda I have pink flamingoes in my garden, and I smile.

I will never forget an extreme kindness from Wanda in 2001. I received an ambulance bill from OL in February 2001, for my newly deceased husband's name was on the envelope. That was so devastating and very upsetting for me to see his name on the envelope.......................I called OL and Wanda was so very sweet, kind, and caring to me regarding this matter. She removed my husband's name immediately from their records and put my name on it. This may not seem big to most people, but I was a grieving and very sad person; seeing your deceased husband's name on an envelope mailed to me, was so very hard. I will never forget how she relieved my pain over that matter by removing my husband's name and her very kind and caring words to me.

I send hugs to Wanda's family and I pray for your healing.
