She was born on May 12, 1934 in Somerset, Kentucky to George “Red” Smith and Winnie L. Bergin Smith.
Winnie was a graduate of Pulaski County High School, and retired from Lear Corporation, now IAC.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister Ethetna Burlencourt; a brother, Frank Garner; and a son, Danny Siler.
Surviving are her children, Jeffrey Siler, Walter Tanner, Jr. and Kim Parrish and husband David; a sister, Wanda Stone; four grandchildren, Christopher Tanner, Carey Tanner, Jeremiah Parrish and Jacob Parrish; and one great-granddaughter, Eden Parrish.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at 2 P.M. at Bittles & Hurt Funeral Home, with Pastor Steve Earnest officiating. Interment will follow at Clinton Falls Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 12 noon until time of services at the funeral home.
