Ray Pridgen, II, passed away April 20, 2020 at the age of 44. His life will be celebrated at 12 noon, Tuesday, April 28 in the mausoleum at Lakeview Memorial Park. Pastor Bill Davis of Cornerstone Baptist Church will officiate.
Ray was born Alphus Ray Pridgen, II to Ray and Linda Fannin Pridgen. His father was an Air Force veteran who served in Korea and preceded him in death. Ray was the owner of Rayco Home Improvements and occasionally invested in real estate. Ray had a giving spirit, placed value in people not temporal things and always looked for the positive in people. His nieces and nephews describe him as an awesome uncle, with a playful personality and a big kid at heart. His siblings said he was an amazing brother who loved to get together with his family and always took more than his fair share of Mom’s cherry pie. He loved music, was a gifted guitarist and drummer and enjoyed restoring old trucks. He was an attentive and caring son and his Mother takes comfort in knowing that Ray is with Jesus Christ and she will see him again.
He is survived by his mother, Linda F. Cohen; brothers, Greg Barbour, Tracy Barbour and Shane Pridgen; sisters, Pam Pridgen, Tari Barbour Wilson, Angela Pridgen and Adrienne Cohen; nieces, Megan Barbour, Taylor Barbour, Dakota Buckner; Jesi Coffer; and Destiny Smith; and nephews, Greg Barbour, II, Matt Moss, Ridge Moss, Lance Barbour; Joseph Davis and Issac Wilson. In addition to his father, his step-father, Marvin Cohen also preceded him in death.
