Born in Wythe County, VA, Faye wed George Thomas Hyatt in Sparta, NC on June 11, 1955. Soon after, the couple relocated to Greensboro, NC, where they raised their four children.
After spending her early married years devoted to her home and children, Faye went to work after the youngest child started school. Faye worked for the C.E. Faye loved watching NASCAR and westerns with her husband Tom and rarely missed her soap operas. She was a devoted Christian, wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, and a fantastic cook.
Faye was predeceased by husband Tom, father Fred Riggins, Sr., mother Alice Hill Riggins, and brothers Fred, Jr., John, and Danny. Surviving are sons, Tom, Jr. and wife Jennifer, and Steven P.
