

She was pre-deceased by her husband of 58 years- Victor, her daughter JoAnn and her 2 sons Phillip and Thomas.
She is survived by two daughters Ann Marie Mazzucco (NY) and Carla Fried (NC) and her grandchildren, Jason and Kyle Fried, Phillip, Victoria, Thomas A., Frank, Thomas P., Paula, Marianne, Gianna and Victorio Mazzucco, along with several great-and great -great grandchildren.
Aida knew how to brighten any room, wherever she was there was a party, and she was the Main attraction. She and her husband Victor owned Aida’s East restaurant in NYC and enjoyed going to the Cotton Club. She never missed a chance to dance.
Upon retiring as a restauranteur, she worked for AT&T where she retired after twenty years. She was then ready for more adventures, travel and family celebrations.
When she lived in Freehold, NJ she volunteered at the local hospital where her charm and charisma helped others to heal. Friday nights, were filled with poker, and she ran “Kaffee Klotch Klub“ every Wednesday for 25 years bringing folks together. She also frequented Freehold Raceway with her husband.
In Greensboro she played Mah Jong as often as she could as well as canasta and was an active member of the Newcomers Club. She loved to watch the Triple Crown.
She was known for her eclectic jewelry, outrageous outfits and sassy ways. She was the ultimate sun worshiper, in life as in death she will always be our shining light.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life Friday May 24 from 1-4 p.m. at their home, 708 Plummer Drive.
