

Alexandra “Mimi” Nguyen, 28, a resident of Greensboro, North Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2020. She was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey, on August 6, 1991, the daughter of Vannavong and Latsamy Sinboulay.
Mimi graduated from Southwest Guilford High School in 2009. After completing high school, Mimi became a nail technician. She also worked side-by-side with her mom at the family business, Pakse Café and more recently Lao Kitchen, where is she is known for her spicy papaya salad, banh mi, and tasty bubble teas.
She wed the love of her life, Canh Nguyen, in 2015. Mimi is known by her friends as the “glue to the young Asian community” in Greensboro, who was always willing to make you a pot of pho or papaya salad. Mimi will always be remembered as a loving and loyal wife, daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, god-mother, and friend who will be missed dearly.
She is survived by her husband, Canh Nguyen; parents, Vannavong & Latsamy Sinboualay; and younger brother, Suny Sinboualay, grandmother, Thongsy Phetmixay, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 W Gate City Blvd, Greensboro, NC 27407. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
