Aloma was a lovely, dear lady, always full of fun and incredibly kind.  I remember her as a devoted member of Wake County Republican Women.  The club published her obituary on its Facebook page and there were many thoughtful responses to it.  I also  remember Aloma as a delegate or alternate to National GOP Presidential Conventions.  She was respected for her judgment and that's one of the reasons she was chosen to attend.  I also remember Aloma as a good and fair businesswoman and a supporter of the arts.  She was just a person of many talents who gave back to her community in so many ways.  I had not realized that before I knew her she had been a nurse, but I am not surprised.  She had a caring heart.

My husband and I met Aloma when we moved to The Cardinal from Wilmington. We became good friends over the last years. Aloma was a great comfort to me when I lost my husband last year. My heart goes out to the family during your time of loss. Though no one can take away your sorrow, I hope the support and loving concern you find from others will bring you the comfort and strength during this difficult time. Aloma had many friends and I am glad that I was one of them! She will be greatly missed!

 I rented an apartment in North Hills Raleigh and didn't know anyone in that area.  I met Aloma when she lived at the Cardinal, which I could walk to from my apartment.  I asked someone there if anyone knew of a Baptist Church nearby.  They introduced me to Aloma and she began my attending Trinity Baptist, even driving me on Sundays until I began driving myself.  We became fast friends and when I moved back to FL we kept in touch.  What a wonderful person and Christian lady she was, and is now resting in our Lord’s arms.  I pray for her family and friends to have peace in that knowledge.

I met Aloma soon after my husband and I came to the Cardinal, where she lived in Raleigh before moving to Greensboro. We instantly became friends, and she was a friend to all at the Cardinal. She had a fascinating background and was always cheerful and fun to be with. I missed her after she left Raleigh and was shocked and  sorry to learn of her death.  

I am so sorry to hear this.  My family has known the Crenshaws for many years, all the way back to the Green Street Baptist days.  I actually saw Brian at a Psalm 100 concert.  Actually it was Aloma that recognized me and came up to me.  It was so good seeing Aloma and Brian.  My thoughts and prayers are with Greg, Rusty and Brian.

I'm a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Raleigh as was Aloma.  Before I joined the church, the deacons did a book study of The Purpose Driven Life (by Rick Warren) and Aloma was in my group.  Later, I joined her Sunday School class.  I remember visiting her at her Antique Shop and how she loved antiques (and I do, too).  Guess that's one of things we had in common- other than the Lord.  I remember when I came into Sunday School each Sunday after leading the hymns at a retirement home across the street from the church she always said, "Hey, Mike.".  I attended an informal party at her house after a fundraiser at church- what a good time we all had.   After The Cardinal said we could visit outside (although COVID was still going), my class set up times for groups to go see her.  She was so glad to see us- and, of course, we were all glad to see her.  Just before she moved to Greensboro, my class had a party for us all to see her before she moved.  We made her feel like a queen.  We told her this wasn't "Goodbye" it was just so long till we see you again.  Now I guess we all will see her again in Heaven.  We shared many good times, and she will be sorely missed.  She was a great friend but so glad is now at peace with Jesus. 

I was in Aloma's Sunday School Class for many years. She was brave and dear and we will miss her.
