Anita Charlene Hottell

Anita “Charlene” was an amazing woman who cherished her family and friends. Her faith in God made her the loving and caring woman that everyone has come to know. Charlene retired from Lorillard Tobacco Company in Greensboro, NC. She enjoyed going to the beach as well as traveling all over the world and spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed going dancing, shopping, reading books, tending to her flowers and flower gardens, playing Bunco with her friends and playing the slots at the casinos. She was a very classy woman who never met a stranger and was loved by everyone she met. She created a lifetime of wonderful and cherishing memories with all of her family and so many friends throughout her 81 years. She was that person you could always come to when your heart was heavy or you needed to talk. Charlene was and always will be the heart and soul of her family.

Charlene is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Paul Andrew Hottell, Jr.. She is survived by her boyfriend, William “Billy” Dyson; her two sisters: Sherry Laster and Sandra Johnson; her four children: Terry W. Mason, Larry G. Mason, Barry L. Mason and Nita D. Schembari; her 12 grandchildren: Jeremy Mason, Laura Moates, Katherine Mason, Shawn Helvey, Amanda Mason, Jason Mason, Erica Sherrard, Ronnie Mason, Dawn Hyatt, Daryl Mason, Joseph Schembari and Daniel Schembari; 30 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren, 1 nephew and 2 nieces, all of whom loved her dearly.

The family will receive friends and visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 pm Tuesday at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services-Greensboro, 1900 Vanstory St., Greensboro, NC 27403.
