Anne was born on March 14, 1941, to the late Walter Joseph and Eva Jones Mitchell. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Mike Mitchell.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, husband of 63 years, Tommy Gurley; daughter, Cindi Rager and her husband Billy; granddaughter Cricket and her fiancé Jorge Cortes; sisters, Sandy Patillo and Sue Klinge; and brother, Joe Mitchell.
Anne was happy to be the wife of Tommy and taking care of him and their home. Until she went in the hospital, she was proud to say that she personally cleaned her home spotless. She was an avid reader and loved collecting angels that were placed throughout her home. Before she started getting sick, she would go shopping with her daughter and granddaughter every weekend as more of a time together and never paid full price for anything.
Anne had a great, but somewhat sadistic sense of humor. One example: when her granddaughter was little, they played a joke on Tommy - They put makeup on his face when he was asleep in his chair and then they went to the grocery store without telling him. Needless to say, everyone looked at Tommy strangely.
Anne was an extremely smart woman and determined. In school she was always a straight A student and even after getting married and having their daughter, she went back to school. With a full-time job, taking care of her husband and daughter, she was still a straight A student. She wanted to prosper for her family.
She was dearly loved by her family and will be unbelievably missed. She was an angel and a blessing.
