

He was the son of Rheba (Levinson) and Benjamin Marks, Sr. Arnold spent his entire life in Greensboro. He was the loving husband to Naomi (Marrus) Marks for 64 years. He was a devoted father to Diane (Lawrence) Goodman, Stephen (Sigrid) Marks, and Judy (Robert) Port. Arnold was a cherished grandfather to Susan (Andrew) Bauer, Arlene Goodman, Mark (Damien Conrad) Goodman, Rachael and Seth Marks, and Mitchell and David Port, and a beloved great-grandfather to Sophie and Andrew Bauer. He was a brother to Dr. Edgar (AnneMarie) Marks and Benjamin (Elaine) Marks, Jr. He was predeceased by his parents and brother William Marks.
Arnold was a dedicated stockbroker for over 30 years, working for Hodgkin, Paine Webber, and Prudential Securities. He was an active member of Temple Emanuel, where he was in charge of the ushers for the High Holidays and the cemetery. Mr. Marks served during World War II in the Navy as a medical tech. He was also actively involved in the community through his work with Kiwanis, Sertoma, and the Jaycees. Arnold enjoyed hobbies such as golf, collecting stamps, and Royal Dalton mugs.
Services will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at 12:00 p.m. at Temple Emanuel, 1129 Jefferson Road, Greensboro. The burial will follow at the Hebrew Cemetery in Greensboro.

Minyan will be held on Wednesday and Thursday at 5:45 p.m. at his home.
