A graveside service will be held at 2: 00 p.m. Sunday, March 18, 2012 in Cool Springs Cemetery, Forest City, NC.
Mr. Godfrey was born in Forest City, NC, a son of the late Milton G. and Margaret Burgin Godfrey. He was also preceded in death by his six siblings.
Whitey was a WWII veteran of the US Army and was retired from Dover Elevator. Whitey enjoyed his breakfast gatherings each morning with friends, fellow veterans and employees at High Point Rd. Bojangles and High Point Rd. Biscuitville, and also dinners at Holden Rd K&W. You were all very special to him and especially his dear friends, Frances Flinchum, Bill Costner and Jack Coble.
