

Mr. Arthur Francis Plocki, 82, a resident of Greensboro died Monday April 28, 2014 at Moses H. Cone Hospital. Mr. Plocki was born June 14, 1931 in Alleghany County, PA, the son of Adam and Casimira Gorney Plocki. A Sgt. with the U. S. Army, he served during the Korean War. He retired from the U. S. Postal Service Bulk Mail Center in Greensboro. Mr. Plocki was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church where he also was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Mr. Plocki was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Stephen Plocki; his brother, Leonard Plocki and his two sisters, Elizabeth P. Witucki and Rose Marie P. Scoff.
He is survived by his wife Olga Dodek Plocki of the home; one daughter, Deborah P. Pearman and husband Donald of Greensboro; one son, Gary Plocki and wife DeAnna of Wilmington and three grandchildren, Audrey Pearman, Daniel Pearman and wife Kristi and Alex Plocki.
A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated with Father Jack Timlin, C.M. officiant on Friday May 2, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 1414 Gorrell St., Greensboro, NC 27401.
The family will receive friends at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Vanstory Chapel on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00. The family requests that memorials be made in Arthur’s memory to St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
