Her journey home was not an easy one, nor did it happen all at once. Two years ago she was told that she would be leaving this old world behind, but the Lord allowed her to live two additional years with us, she was able to celebrate her 80th birthday with family and
friends, and now the Lord allowed her to celebrate her 82nd birthday with Hospice, family and friends.
We all loved her in our own special way, we will miss her deeply, we have fond
memories of her, "remember the porch and the stairs, how when you made it to the bottom step, you thought you were free."
Atniese has 21 Grandchildren; 22 Great grand children; nieces; nephews; cousins and friends, and while living in Boston she had adopted some play sons Al Meyers and Ian Lopez and in N.C. she adopted play son name William Ortega.
She will greatly be missed and will always have a special place in our hearts. She has gone on to be with the Lord, but not forgotten by the ones she has left behind.
