Barbara Jean Bayle

Barbara Bayle, age 79, formerly of Turtle Creek, PA, currently of Greensboro, NC, passed away on June 22, due to natural causes. Barbara is survived by her brother, John (Maryann) Reichenbach, his five children and their families. She was mother of James Todd (Natalie) Bayle, Jon Matthew (Kelly) Bayle, and Andrew William (Sarah) Bayle, and grandmother (Nana) to Jared Bayle, Tessa Bayle, Zak (Ashley) Lees, Ben Lees, Jon Bayle, Jr., Savanah Bayle, Jessica Walsh, Emerson Bayle, and Rylan Bayle. She was great-grandmother to Zacchaeus Lees, Zephaniah Lees, Greyson Walsh, and Leo Wallace. She was the divorcee of James R. Bayle of Kernersville, NC. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Alma Reichenbach of Turtle Creek, PA.

Barbara graduated from Turtle Creek High School, and Presbyterian-University Hospital School of Nursing, also attended University of California, San Francisco. As an R.N. she worked for 45 yrs. mainly in Emergency Rooms, ICUs, home care, and eventually health insurance companies, and loved caring for people. Barbara was a student of music and learned to play clarinet, piano, and the bowed psaltery, but was most passionate about singing. She was a very active member of her churches all her life, singing in many choirs, attending and leading Bible studies, was a deacon, and an elder in the Presbyterian Church. Later in life, she added crocheting in prayer shawl groups. She loved to crochet and made many items for family, friends, and those in need.

A Celebration of Life Service for Barbara will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday July 13, 2024 at the Jamestown Presbyterian Church officiated by the Reverend Dr. Jay Smith. There will be a reception at he church following the service.

On Saturday August 17, 2024 for her family and friends in Pennsylvania, a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Hillcrest United Presbyterian Church 1622 James St. Monroeville, PA.
