Barbara Locklear Cousins, 75, a resident of Greensboro passed away on Monday, May 25, 2026 at Moses Cone Hospital. She was born July 21, 1950, in Pembroke, the daughter of David Earl and Carrie Mae Strickland Locklear.
Barbara worked with the cafeteria staff with the Guilford County School System and later worked Guilford County Native Daycare until she retired.
She was married to Charles Lincoln Cousins, Jr. who preceded her in death on March 6, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her two brothers, David Earl Locklear, Jr. and Bobby Dean Locklear.
She is survived by her two daughters, Amanda Cousins Jeffries and Nicole Cousins Williams (Del Barnard); two grandsons, Tyquain Williams, Devondre Williams; one great granddaughter, Alani Williams; sister-in-law, Marion Locklear and Barbara’s daughter in Christ, Maria Ramos and her son Miguel Lanier.
Barbara will be laid to rest with her husband at the National Cemetery in Salisbury, N.C.
