Barbara was a very loving mother to her son Bryan and to her friends. She always enjoyed making everyone laugh and would help anyone in need. Some of her friends called her mom, but to Bryan she was his best friend and rock star.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Richard S. Evans, who passed in April of 2013.

A celebration of Barbara's life will be at 11:00 am Thursday, June 26 at Stevens Memorial Baptist Church, 3001 North Church Street, Greensboro, NC 27405.
