Barbara J. Moore
April 12, 1946 – May 20, 2020
Barbara Shores Moore, 74, departed this life to enter into rest on May 20, 2020. She was born on April 12, 1946, in Johnstown, NY, to the late James & Josephine Shores. Barbara moved to North Carolina from Hicksville, NY, in 1970 and worked as a hairdresser for many years. She then went on to work for Guilford County Schools as an administrative assistant and bus driver. After many years of dreaming of being a Real Estate Agent, Barbara finally accomplished her dream of passing the Real Estate Licensing Exam and working as a Real Estate Agent for Ed Price/Coldwell Banker for many years. During those years as a Real Estate agent, Barbara was an outstanding member of the High Point Board of Realtors and State and National Association of Realtors. She was a dedicated, continuous million-dollar producer during her real estate years. Agents, customers, and clients loved her heart-warming personality. Barbara will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Barbara was a devoted mother, sister, and friend. Her life revolved around her daughters, Nicole & Melanie, and her nine grandchildren, of which she made many sacrifices for and loved dearly. Barbara was a go-getter, a force to be reckoned with, and a lifetime problem solver. Solicited or unsolicited, she never held back on a thought. If she had an opinion on it, you heard it, and that is one of the things we loved most about her. Barbara was preceded in death by her father, James Dean Shores (1968), her mother, Josephine Fiorito Shores-Camp (2015); step father, Royal C. Camp and precious niece, Emily Elizabeth May (2007). She is survived by her two daughters, Nicole Blakley (Wes) and five children, Connor (Connor-boy), Nicholas (Nicky), Paige (Josie), Grace (Gracie-boo) & Harrison (Bubby) of High Point, NC and Melanie Hardeman and four children, Raechel (Rae-Rae), Caroline (LuLuBelle), Aidan (A-man) and Lucas (Lukey) of Charlotte, NC. Barbara is also survived by her brother, James H. Shores (Tina) of Peachtree City, GA, and children Tyler Shores (Megan) and son James Michael of Aptos, CA, and Kyle Shores of LaGrange, GA and her sister, Rebecca Shores of High Point, NC. Also, Barbara is survived by her cousins Sandra Mancini Cates (David) of High Point, NC, Kelly Warren (Scott) and kids Allen & Anthony of High Point, NC, and Anthony Wayne (Maria) of Greensboro, GA. We should also mention her lifetime best friends, Paula White, of Jamestown, NC, Vicki Layton of Greensboro, NC, and Mary LaCalandra of Selden, NY. We can’t forget to mention her lifetime, four-legged companion, and friend DaisyMae of High Point, NC. A visitation service will be held at Hanes Lineberry in Sedgefield between the hours of 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2020. Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home 6000 W Gate City Blvd. Greensboro, NC 27407

I am so honored and happy that I was able to spend time with my cousins, Jimmy, Becky, and Barbara Jo a couple of summers ago. Our family has always been widespread with only occasional visits through the years. God was good to us to share that time and make new memories for us all. Barbara, may you enjoy your new adventure in heaven with all of our family members that are there to greet you! Will love and miss you always, Karen Shores Brown
