Barbara was born on May 11, 1942. She retired as a school teacher and taught both in the Guilford and Alamance County Schools.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband James “Jim” Tippett in 2001. She is survived by three sons; Matthew Tippett, Mark Tippett and wife Ovella and Greg Tippett; grandchildren, Luke Tippett and wife Laura, Emily Tippett, Connor Tippett, Jacob Tippett, Stone Tippett, Max Tippett and Ruby Tippett; brothers, Rudy Wooten, Jimmy Wooten, Kenneth Wooten and Howard Wooten, Jr.(deceased)
Funeral services will be held on Monday, 11:00 a.m. at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel with burial to follow at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.
