Bennie Earl Harding Sr.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, 2:00 p.m., at United Institutional Baptist Church by Rev. Johnny Freeman. Entombment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.

Bennie was born June 26, 1919 in Chocowinity, NC, the son of John McKinley Harding and Mary Frances Chapman Harding.

Bennie was a veteran of the US Navy, serving during WWII, and a graduate of NC A&T State University.

In addition to his parents, Bennie was preceded in death by his wife, Catherleen “Cat” Harding.

Surviving are his son, Bennie Harding, Jr. of District Heights, MD; niece, Dr. Sheila Teel Robinson of Greensboro; sister in laws, Yetta Clark (R.J.) and Virginia Herring, both of Winston-Salem; grandchildren, Nicole Green Robinson and Emily Williams; great grandchildren, Kiera, Breanna and Jessica Jackson.

Friends will be received Tuesday from 1:00-2:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the church.
