

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, December 8, 2014 at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 High Point Rd. in Greensboro. Burial will follow in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service from 1:00 until 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
Born March 17, 1933 in Guilford County to the late Robert and Eva Hodgin, Betty was of the Christian faith. She was one of the owners and operators of Busy Day Nursery School and was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Betty loved antique and doll collecting. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Robert “Bob” McIntosh.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Linda S. McIntosh of the home, Robert Steven McIntosh (Gwyn) of Waynesville, David Stanley McIntosh (Au) of Hawaii, and Sherri McIntosh Tester (Paul) of Tennessee; sister, Nancy Pearce (Jim) of Greensboro; grandchildren, Andrew McIntosh (Katie), Corey Becker (John), and Tip McIntosh; and one great-grandchild, Lands McIntosh.
