A celebration of her life will be held at two o'clock on Saturday, June 25th, 2019 at Greenview Cemetery in Reidsville. Rev. Gene Dean will officiate.
A native of Rockingham County, North Carolina, she attended St. Andrews College where she majored in music with a minor in Bible studies. There she met her husband, Norman, who was choir director at that time. She was a legal secretary and court reporter and with Norman, she was a partner in Stripe Reporting Services and Alternate Resources. She served as president of NSVRA for two years. She was national speed champion and was third and first place on two different occasions. She loved cats and helped strays find homes.
She is survived by her daughter, Gretchen; brother, Donald and wife Peggy; nephews, Bruce and Mike Trent.
The family will receive friends, preceding the service, on Saturday from eleven until one o'clock at Advantage Funeral and Cremations, 1900 Vanstory Street, Greensboro, North Carolina 27403.
