Betty Langley Wray, 81, went home to be with the Lord on April 1, 2020. Betty was born in Fayetteville, NC on July 22, 1938 to John and Mary Langley. She attended Grays Creek School. Betty worked many years at Thomasville Furniture Co. in Pleasant Garden, NC as well as Greensboro College and Food Lion. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Pleasant Garden Baptist Church where she served as a faithful and dedicated member. Betty is survived by her husband of 61 years, James Donnie Wray, daughters Connie Wray Wooten and Robin Wray Heath. She has 6 grandchildren: Joey Lafroscia, Christopher Lafroscia (Laura), Kristen Wooten and Kelsi Wooten as well as Christopher Heath (Danielle) and Tyler Bishop (Lindsay). There are 8 great grandchildren: Haley, Shawn and Lily Lafroscia, Scarlett Wooten, Jocelynn, Brayden, Addison and Liam Heath. Betty is preceded in death by her brother Oscar ‘Buck’ Clark (Helen). Surviving siblings are Christine Shelton (Donnie, deceased) of Goldsboro, NC, Bruce Langley (Evelyn) of Wilson, NC and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. A private graveside service will be held at Guilford Memorial Park for family only. Eulogy to be given by good friend and pastor Paul Marth. Hanes Lineberry at Sedgefield assisting the family. The family would like to thank Kelly and Guilford County Palliative Care, Hospice of Randolph County, Bayada Home Health nurse Betty Warrick and Paramedic Dee Copper for their love, support and care these past few months.
