

Billy Hugh Cline, 98, a resident of Brookdale in High Point and a former resident of Greensboro passed away on Friday November 21, 2025. He was born May 11, 1927 in Cabarrus County, the son of Hugh Lester and Blanche Evelyn Propst Cline.
Billy attended Phiffer College and received his B.A. in English and Music from Catawba College. Before retiring, he was a Behavior Counselor for the State of N.C. He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Marines. He loved singing as was part of Barber Shop Quartet singing for many years. He was an active member at the time of St. John’s United Methodist Church and the church choir until his health began to decline.
He was married to Patricia Ford Cline who preceded him in death. He was also preceded death by his parents and his three sisters, Sherleen C. Morton, Gladys C. Grant and Evelyn C. Young.
Billy is survived by one daughter, Vicki Cline of Thomasville; two sons, Jeff Cline and wife Kristy of High Point, Alan Cline and wife Lisa of Cummings, GA; five grandchildren, Brandon Cline, Katie Tamburro, Patrick Cline, Amanda Ingram, Nathaniel Cline and five great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday November 26, 2025, at Westminster Gardens Cemetery, 3601 Whitehurst Rd., Greensboro, NC 27410. Military Honors will be accorded by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
