Blain was a native of Greensboro, the son of William D. and Dorris Wise Stewart. He lived his life loyally, honestly and lovingly. Above all, Blain was a loving father to his son, William, who was his pride and joy. One lesson Blain instilled in his son was to treat everyone with dignity and respect. He felt a calling to study Catholicism to deepen his faith and follow God’s plan. An avid reader, Blain enjoyed spending time reading and watching movies. He was a well-rounded individual with a vast knowledge of history, including the Civil War. He was a lover of life, both of animals and his fellow man. Compassionate, he never met a stranger and always left that person with a smile on his face. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Blain worked as a service advisor for Crown Honda.
Blain was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William “Randy” Stewart.
