Blandy Willard Privette Sr.

Blandy Willard Privette, Sr. 76, a resident of Jamestown died Tuesday July 29, 2014. Blandy was born June 4, 1938 in Zebulon, the son of Davis Pettigrew and Mary Margie Lyles Privette. He was a retired Captain in the U.S. Army, 18th Airborne Corp with the 82nd Airborne at Ft. Bragg. He served his country for 23 years. He was a member of Life Community Church. Blandy was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Charles Scott Privette and his eight brothers and sisters.

On June 4th he celebrated his 54th Wedding Anniversary with his wife, Mildred Dean Privette who survives of the home. Surviving in addition to his wife Mildred are one daughter, Cindy Privette Rosenthal of Greensboro; one son, Blandy Willard Privette, Jr. of the home and two grandchildren, Grant Scott Privette and Ashton Nicole Rosenthal.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 High Point Rd., Greensboro, NC 27407. Interment with full military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard will follow at Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
