Barbara “Bobby” White Cross 89, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at her home. She was born on September 27, 1936, in Guilford County, NC, daughter of the late Hubert M. and Vera Causey White. She spent years as a housewife then worked at Laughlin’s Hosiery Mill and later as a Production Coordinator at Burger King. She loved her family, friends and neighbors, always putting her family first before herself, she enjoyed going to the mountains, the beach, getting together with her family grilling out and was a great cook preparing delicious meals from scratch, no recipe needed, she just knew how. She was loved dearly and will be missed terribly.
Barbara was preceded in death by her loving husband Carl F. Cross Jr; daughter Carla Sue Sneider, son Frankie W. Cross; granddaughter Kimberly Greeson and great-grandson Dylan Greeson.
Those left to cherish her memory are daughters; Debbie Cross, Barbara “BJ” Cross, son Carl Bradley Cross, great-granddaughter Abigail Greeson, great-great-granddaughters Emory and Isabelle Greeson.
Graveside will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 2:00pm, Guilford Memorial Park, 6000 West Gate City Blvd., Greensboro, NC 27407. Visitation with family will be from 1:00-2:00 pm in Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.
