A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 27, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 West Gate City Boulevard, Greensboro, NC. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Brenda was born in McDowell County, WV on June 9, 1944, to the late Clarence Vernon and Elva Bell Perry Shoun.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Bryant, and her brothers, Vernon Shoun, Max Shoun, Glenn Shoun, Doug Shoun, and Walter Shoun.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughter, Joyce B. Durham (Delmor); sons, James "Jim" M. Bryant (Robert) and Jerry C. Bryant (Connie); six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Henry Shoun; and sister-in-law, Jackie Norman.
