It is always difficult to lose a student. It does not matter when they were your student because each one holds a special place in your heart. Brooke was an outstanding student, athlete, and friend to many. She was someone who you knew would take the world by storm and be successful. Brooke, God chose to take you from us way too soon, but it is His plan, not ours (Jeremiah 29:11). But what I do know is that you were able to accomplish more than some do in a lifetime in the short time that you were here with us.
May God comfort your family, give them peace and understanding as to His plan and may your son always feel the warm presence of his sweet momma through family and everywhere that he goes in life.
With much Love,
Ruthmarie Mitchell

I had the pleasure of being one of Brooke's nursing educators at GTCC. She was a shy yet bright star. She was so respectful and dedicated. I just knew she would go on to do great things. Words are hard to find but please know you are in our hearts and prayers.

I remember Brooke and her sister from Girl Scouts. Such sweet girls and so giving. I am not surprised at all, she wanted to spend her life helping people. Prayers for the family on the loss of their angel.

My deepest sympathies, and prayers are with Brooke’s family, friends and loved ones. She was taken from this earth all too soon. It surpasses human understanding. May God’s unending mercies be granted to this family, especially her son whom she loved so dearly, her husband and parents as they grieve this unimaginable loss and carry on her memory.

I remember a little blonde haired beautiful little girl at age 5 that played with my daughter. She always had the sweetest smile that lit the room up. Then I watched her grow into a smart beautiful soul inside and out. Her family has been a part of our family for over 25 years. My heart is broken for her family and friends. There will forever be a empty space in our heart without beautiful Brooke. She always put others before herself and dedicated her young life to helping others. When she became a nurse it was no surprise. I remember teaching her CPR for the nursing program and telling how very proud I was of her. I hope everyone puts their loving arms around her family to help them with this devastating grief. I am so glad we have her beautiful son that we can watch grow and learn with his mothers eyes. I love this family and I pray 🙏 God can help them with their overwhelming grief. We will always be there for them all.

I met Brooke when she came to work as a case manager. Brooke was a kind hearted, caring nurse, but beyond that she was a good friend to us all. Her love for her husband and son shined brightly daily as she told me about the new things Sawyer was doing. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
