Carl Poindexter

Born in July 1, 1938 in Henry County, VA, he was the son of the late Harvey and Etta Poindexter. Carl was a member of Andrews Memorial Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and family gatherings.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by three sisters, Coleen Huffman, Joan Hall and Myrtle Peacock.

Carl is survived by his three sons, Rodney Carl Poindexter and wife Teresa, Danny Wayne Poindexter and girlfriend Terri Hall, and Steve Allen Poindexter and wife Dana; three grandchildren, Danielle Renee Poindexter, Rodney Carl Poindexter, Jr and wife Julie, and Katlyn Kirkman; two great grandchildren, Lucy Jane Poindexter and Remington Carl Poindexter; sister, Glenda Moore; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Monday, January 29, 2024 at Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home in the Lineberry Center. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.
