He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Brown Reid and great granddaughter, Becca Owens. Carl left behind a son, Joseph Reid and a daughter, Kathy Young. He also left behind a granddaughter, Laura Owens. He has 3 surviving brothers and 2 surviving sisters; Tammy Ferguson, Linda Newsom, Teddy Reid, Bud Reid, and Stacey Reid.
Carl loved to go to the flea market and was there religiously. He was well loved by all and would help anyone who needed it.
