Carol was born on September 21, 1937 in Beaver Falls, PA, in the very house her father built. As a young girl, Carol traveled weekly by train on her own from Beaver Falls to Pittsburgh for piano lessons, nurturing a love of music that would last a lifetime. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology from Trinity Bible College in Clearwater, FL, and completed 2 years of graduate study at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. During her college years, she was voted “Most Likely to Succeed” and affectionately nicknamed “Sparkle.”
Carol devoted over 40 years to Burlington Industries, serving in various roles before culminating her career as an Executive Assistant. Outside of work, she spent decades teaching piano and playing at local churches, sharing her love of music and worship with others.
Above all, Carol loved Jesus. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and she faithfully shared His love with everyone she encountered. She led her children and grandchildren to the Lord, participated in Bible studies and outreach groups, and welcomed countless friends into her home. Even in her final days, she prayed over the nurses and doctors caring for her.
Carol delighted in cooking and hosting family and friends, tending her flowers, playing the piano, and worshipping with her church family. She will be remembered for her warm, generous spirit, her faithfulness, her genuine care for others, and her unwavering devotion to Jesus.
But be sure to fear the Lord and faithfully serve Him. Think of all the wonderful things He has done for you. - 1 Samuel 12:24
