Carol M. Williamson, 86, of Greensboro, North Carolina passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2026. She was born on December 25, 1939, in Alamance County, North Carolina, daughter of the late Clarence and Lou Retta McVey. Carol enjoyed working in her yard, going to the mountains, watching soaps, shopping and going out to eat with friends. She worked several years in the Retail industry with Shoe Show and Walmart.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Brenda Riley.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years Bill Williamson, sons; Sammy McKinney (Ronna), West Williamson (Pennie), daughter Tammy Pace (William), grandchildren Samantha Downs (Jeremy), Stacy McKinney, Heather Pace, Brittney Furl (Zach), Kalyn Woods (Chase), Hailey Godwin (Zared); great-grandchildren Beau Downs, Archie Downs, Matthew McKinney, Bella McKinney, Oakley Furl, Owen Furl, Zoey Furl, Seaver Woods, brothers; Clinton McVey (Linda) and David McVey (Rosa).
Graveside will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 1:00 pm at Lakeview Memorial Park, 3600 N O. Henry Blvd., Greensboro, NC 27405.
