Carol D. Wombaugh

A memorial service will be held today, Saturday, July 28th at 4:00 pm at Hanes Lineberry N. Elm Chapel with Rev. Tony Dowdy officiating. The family will visit with friends following the service.

Carol was the daughter of the late Frank and Hazel Dowdy. She worked in housekeeping at hotels and schools. She enjoyed country music, classic Mustangs, and animals. She loved spending time with her family and her cat Lucy. Her laugh and smile were infectious and she never had a bad word to say about anybody.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Herbert and Roger Dowdy. Carol is survived by her son, Louie Wombaugh and grandson, Justin Wombaugh; sisters Peggy Dowdy Craven and Sharon Linker; brothers, Raymond, Jerry and Michael Dowdy; special friend, Ann Kelk; and many nieces and nephews.
