Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Southside Baptist Church, 1001 Greenhaven Dr., Greensboro, NC 27406. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park Cemetery on Hwy. 29 North, in Greensboro. The family will receive friends and loved ones, one hour prior to the funeral in the church sanctuary.
Carolyn was born in Greensboro on November 4, 1942 to the late Robert Lee Hudson and Beulah Parrish Hudson. She graduated from Sumner High School and was the class Valedictorian. Carolyn was a Human Resources Support Manager for Jefferson-Pilot Insurance Company and was a long-time member of Southside Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Billy Ray Shores; sisters, Betty Collins, Marie Hiatt and Kay Thompson; and her step-father, George W. Ross.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Ed McNatt; sons, Barry Shores and Rodney Shores; sister, Ruth MacCaine; brothers, Bobby Hudson and Ray Hudson; grandsons, Samuel Shores and Spencer Shores; and other extended family and loved ones.
