Cathy was born on February 14, 1946, in Orlando, Florida. She was married to her late husband, Harold B. Griffith, for 48 years prior to his passing in 2013. She and Harold ran a successful heating and air conditioning business, where Cathy served as bookkeeper, for over 30 years. After Harold retired she took a part time job at Belk to help keep her busy. She was not one to sit around. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She loved doing things with and for her family. If you ever needed anything all you had to do was call her and she would be there.
In her spare time she enjoyed playing Bingo, a passion she shared with her mother and her sister. She also enjoyed Country Line-Dancing with her husband at Santa Fa Rose in Greensboro and at The Rhinestone Cowboy in McLeansville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold B. Griffith; her father, Henry M. Chiusano, Jr.; and her mother, Betty Hawks Chiusano.
Those left to cherish her memory are: her daughters, Lisa G. Clark (Randy) of Staley, Michelle G. Mackay (Bruce) of Pleasant Garden; her sister, Elizabeth C. White (Harry) of Swansboro; her brother, Henry M. Chiusano, III or “Mike” (Mona) of Reidsville; Grandchildren Laina Wright and Haley Mackay; Great-Grandchildren Troy Wright and Natalie Wright. She was “Aunt Cathy” to Greg Goltare, Christina Goltare, Carmody Burdine, Caroline McGee and Lauren Slusher; a host of other extended family and friends.
