Catherine was born at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, DC on September 18,1945, the daughter of the late Lt. Col. Edward Traywick McConnell and Helen Elizabeth Van Fleet McConnell. She graduated from UNCG in August 1966 and married Michael LaMotte Holt in December 1966.
She was predeceased by her parents; a sister, Helen McConnell McCloy; and her husband, Michael. She is survived by 2 sisters, Mary McConnell and Avery Leider; 4 children, James Holt, Joel Holt (Kelly), Elizabeth Davidson (Ralph), and David Holt (Traia); and 13 grandchildren and step-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Alamance Presbyterian Church, at 3:00 pm on September 13, 2026, with private burial in Green Hill Cemetery.
