

Chuck was born on August 30th, 1931, in Tampa, Florida to Bryant and Eileen Hancock. He was a Korean War Veteran and served in the United States Navy from 1948 to 1952, where he was a machinist on the USS Sperry submarine tender. Chuck met the love of his life, LaDonna Furney, whom he spent 61 years with. Chuck retired from Phillips Petroleum after a 42-year career where he managed Phillips Petroleum’s Greensboro tank farm.
Chuck is survived by his brothers Frank (spouse Frances) and Gene (spouse Frances), his children Debra (spouse Dan) and Jeff (spouse Karen), his four grandchildren Cameron (spouse Ashley), Zach, Allison and Alyssa, and his great granddaughters Chloe and Brooklyn.
Besides spending time with his family and friends, Chuck had a passion for golf and woodworking. Chuck was known for his willingness to help those in need. Chuck touched many lives with his generosity and kindness.
Chuck will be laid to rest at Westminster Gardens Cemetery in Greensboro, during a private committal service.
